SimVET and VA Ventures,under the Office of Healthcare Innovation and Learning (OHIL), are partnering to better understand the potential value of robotic devices in VA health care and to explore the role that robotic systems can play. On behalf of VHA, Edmond Scientific is reaching out to learn about the needs Veterans experience that might be supported by robotics. Some possible areas where technology might help address problems are in

  • Home health monitoring and keeping to a schedule (for example, medication).

  • Hospital distribution and delivery.

  • Social interaction.

  • Rehabilitation and physical therapy.

  • Veteran and caregiver support at home and in their daily tasks.
