Simply put, HCD seeks to solve the problems humans experience by designing the solutions around them. Steeped in empathy, HCD is an iterative approach to problem-solving that involves true human perspective at each step of the way.

Quality, Safety, Satisfaction, and Morale

Lean methodology teaches us to create value and reduce burdens for patients and employees by focusing on sustaining the highest levels of quality, safety, satisfaction, and morale in healthcare. This is done by testing ideas using prototyping and pivoting when necessary.

Pitching and Storytelling
Quickly Seeing Value

Two-hour presentations have their place in the world, but thankfully it's not within iNET. Leaning into story evokes an emotional response, while a well-structured pitch can have leaders and investors seeing value within minutes.

Ignite
Fire Up Your Creativity

"Ignite" is a four-week virtual workshop series open to all VA employees. iNET will introduce new ways of thinking, fire-up your inherent creative problem-solving, and provide an opportunity to network with innovative revolutionaries. These sessions are designed to introduce and expound upon innovative concepts that you’ll be able to apply directly to your work and inspire employees all across VA to get involved in iNET competitions, such as Go Fish! and the Spark-Seed-Spread Innovation Investment Program.

Incubator
Explore Innovation Fundamentals

The Incubator is a six-session virtual experience open to everyone, where iNET shares approaches such as human-centered design, defining healthcare innovation, prototyping, and more. Attendees can also learn about other available Innovators Network opportunities.
