Partnerships strengthen our work by allowing us to explore new perspectives, approaches, tools, and other resources that are central to problem-solving. Partnerships provide incentives that may help speed the commercialization of federally developed technology.
VACI is committed to partnering with creative, innovative, smart, and disruptive organizations to ensure the most meaningful and effective services are available for our Veterans. These partnerships are living relationships, ever evolving to directly support VA objectives (e.g., eliminating homelessness, resolving the claims backlog, and improving mental health services) and to ensure sustainable innovation at VA.
Since 2013 VACI has partnered with Got Your Six to present Storytellers, a thought leadership symposium for sharing the unique stories of Veterans working in innovative fields and having a profound impact on the civilian world.
As a result of this partnership, Veterans now have the option to electronically forward their immunization records from Walgreens to VA, relieving them of the need to complete additional forms or remember to provide the information to their local VA providers.
VACI has partnered with Unite US to explore new approaches to outreach and engagement at the local level, enabling small VA teams to do direct, real-time outreach with Veterans in their communities.
VACI collaborated with TechShop to provide 2,000 one-year memberships at six TechShop locations across the U.S., providing Veterans with free access to cutting-edge training and equipment to become more competitive in the job market or pursue entrepreneurial goals.
